Car rental in Crete is the most comfortable way to visit, in a few days, many of the beautiful beaches and villages of the island. Before you rent a car at the airport of Chania you need to know which are the basic terms and conditions.
Even if you have a driver's license with you, make sure you have also a valid ID card or passport. Otherwise, you cannot sign a car rental contract.
Driving license should be Greek, European (for citizens of EU) or international (for citizens of non-EU countries). Car rentals are allowed only to drivers who held the license for at least 12 months.
In Greece, if you are 20-22 years old, you are considered a "new driver". Because you belong to a special insurance group, certain rules apply to you. Ask us!
